You inhale about 21% oxygen, 78% nitrogen and the other 1% is made up of many gases like carbon dioxide, argon, neon, helium and hydrogen. You exhale about 5% carbon dioxide, 16% oxygen, 78% nitrogen, and the other 1% is again many small amounts of different gases.
