State any two differences between inhaled and exhaled air
Inhaled air will contain roughly the same composition of normal atmospheric air. Where as, exhaled air will contain much less oxygen and a high concentration of CO2 because of respiration taking place inside the human body.

Four adaptations of the root hair that enable it to Carry out its function
- Root hair cells have long projections called root hairs which increase the surface area for efficient uptake of water and minerals. - Root hairs also have very thin cell walls decreasing the diffusion distance allowing for quicker osmosis. - They have lots of mitochondria for active transport of minerals into the plant. - They have lots of dissolved minerals and sugars in the cytoplasm giving th... more

How could this service help someone who is homeschooled?
Hi, you could use Scoodle to ask questions on topics you're finding a little difficult. Or, you can also find a tutor if you want additional support in a particular subject. Hope this is helpful.

An electric motor uses 50j of electrical energy and does 40j of work
Motors tend to not be 100% efficient so in this case, the 10j of energy could have been dissipated as heat energy. Check out energy Sankey diagrams and have a read through: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/guides/zgvc6fr/revision/3 Let me know if you have any more questions :)

A bunch of seeds was put in a large underground hole. After a sometime, only the seeds on the outside germinated while the seeds at the centre of the hole did not terminate. Why is that so?
The germination of seeds requires optimum temperature, oxygen and water availability. It is likely that when seeds are put in a large underground there is low oxygen availability for the seeds at the centre of the hole compared to those seeds that are on outside. As a result due to the lack of ideal conditions the seeds at the centre remain dormant and are hence unable to germinate.

Give three features of a alveoli That allows large amount of oxygen to enter the blood
Large surface area - many alveoli are present in the lungs with a shape that further increases surface area. Thin walls - alveolar walls are one cell thick providing gases with a short diffusion distance. Moist walls - gases dissolve in the moisture helping them to pass across the gas exchange surface. Permeable walls - allow gases to pass through. Extensive blood supply - ensuring oxygen rich blo... more
