How would you feed you cells if you didn't have a digestive system?

Hi Max! Humans have a digestive system for this purpose. Other organisms have different ways of feeding cells such as: plants use roots to obtain nutrients from the soil and fungi depend on their cell walls to absorb nutrients. Who knows, maybe we could have even had a combination of these!
