I did biochemistry in my undergraduate degree! I absolutely loved it. This is because I really love learning about complex biochemical pathways such as the TCA cycle, glycolysis, lipid metabolism, etc. I suggest you look at the modules typically taught on a biochemistry programme (most likely includes some medical aspects, cancer and immunological studies, epidemiology, etc.) and decide whether it’s for you or not. I also considered medicine but chose biochemistry instead and I’m so glad that I did because now I’m doing molecular imaging, something that I realised I absolutely love. Good luck!
