If you think about the equation for respiration (C6H12O6 +6 O2 = 6 H2O + 6 CO2) the gases involved are Oxygen and carbon dioxide. This means there will be a slight decrease in oxygen level and slight increase in carbon dioxide level, everything else will remain the same.
Both contain an equal number of nitrogen, around 80% Both also contain oxygen, though inhaled has a bit more. As well as carbon dioxide, exhaled contains 10 times the amount.
