CAREER ADVICE
Asked by Jayden

After I finish my GCSEs, what should I do after? College or sixth form? What happens after that?

The difference between a college and sixth form is that a sixth form is with a secondary school and only teaches further education to students upto the age of 18. A college will usually offer further education to any age. Every sixth form and college has different standards with respect to entry. For example, to pursue Maths you may be required to have an 8 in the subject at GCSE. So it’s for you to find out. You can do A-levels or BTEC qualifications to get into university or you can avoid those paths altogether and instead use your GCSEs to go directly into work or get yourself an Apprenticeship. The world is your oyster.
