CAREER ADVICE
Asked by Nathan

I have left school with no qualifications?

If you have access to free courses (or can afford paid courses) I would recommend finding a course in a field you are interested in working in just so you have some form of qualification. If you are under 18 this should be relatively easy. If not, it is possible to find a job without qualifications. You may want to start with volunteering or work experience with a family friend, something that is not necessarily paid but will give you some experience to build up your CV. Ultimately, most employers will value relevant experience over irrelevant qualifications. The first paid job you get may be a minimum wage job, but remember if you work hard this will be rewarded and over time your bosses will see your hard work and promote you to higher paid roles. Overall, try to get into some kind of work (paid or unpaid) as soon as you can as this will allow you to build up a good CV despite your lack of qualifications. Hope this helped!
