I’m a passionate student who wants to help others succeed in their studies.

I am a motivated, enthusiastic and patient A-level student who tutors in maths, sciences and economics up to GCSE level. In addition, I`m willing to teach maths, physics and economics up to AS level across all syllabuses, as well as 11+ tuition. I have a stellar academic record, having achieved nine 9s (equivalent to A**) at GCSE level, including straight 9s in maths and sciences. Having recently completed my GCSEs, I have up-to-date knowledge of the new 9-1 grading system. Furthermore, I`m an academic scholar at a top-performing private school and so I know the 11+ application process intimately. Currently, I`m completing my A-levels in maths, further maths, physics, economics and an EPQ (predicted grades are 5 A*s), and I hope to study economics at university in 2021. My approach to teaching is friendly and inviting, and I try to strike a balance between being a teacher and a peer. During my lessons, there are 4 main steps that I use to help students succeed in their studies: 1. I will help students to locate weaknesses in their current understanding (using practice tests, quizzes and verbal questions) 2. I focus on these areas of weakness by creating personalized lessons that cover tricky content (through practice and revision techniques) 3. I help students consolidate previous content, learn new topics and provide students with exam techniques and advice so that they are exam-ready 4. I push students beyond the syllabus where possible to accelerate them beyond school, and to form areas of particular strength and interest Other than academics, I enjoy sports and volunteering. I am a black belt karate teacher, I enjoy playing squash and I am an avid cyclist. I also volunteer for a local children`s charity every week, which has provided me with experience of mentoring younger students and peers. Overall, I am really excited to help my students progress in their studies. Having completed my GCSEs and 11+ entrance exams relatively recently, I can empathize with students and guide them during these stressful periods. Not only are my lessons academically rigorous, but they are fun and enjoyable as well. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
