Passionately driven teacher wanting to teach English!
I'm a English teacher at a grammar school in Berkshire, bordering West London for the past three years. I teach students from Years 7-11 and the diverse range of topics I've taught range from poetry and Shakespeare to 19th century literature and prose and drama. I've been tutoring students from all ages, backgrounds and abilities. Most of them have thrived, making progress. One student, for example, managed to achieve a Grade 9 when they were originally predicted a Grade 8. Another student managed to push up two grade boundaries from a 7 to 9. Regardless of what ability, as long as I don't give up on my students, I'm certain that he/she will make excellent progress.

I am a Primary Teacher. I have been teaching for over 8 years and I have been tutoring for around 4 years now in English in KS1 and KS2, and Maths in KS1, KS2 and KS3 (up to Year 9) I provide a calm, friendly, safe and encouraging environment for the children to learn in. I promote a positive mindset and encouragement for the children to try their best. If they make mistakes that is ok, that is how we learn.
Supportive qualified primary teacher
I gained my PGCE from the University of Nottingham and am currently supply teaching across various schools. Teaching in different schools and age ranges provides me with an in-depth knowledge of the National Curriculum requirements of all subjects at all primary age levels, whilst I am able to adapt on a daily basis. I cater for different learning styles through a mixed learning approach as I use various methods to help all learners – this includes the use of visual resources and learning through a hands-on approach. My lessons include varied activities, promoting creativity, and I ensure that high expectations are set and pupils’ learning is stretched accordingly to achieve these expectations. I am caring, supportive and positive. My enthusiasm for education transfers well during teaching, allowing children to develop a thirst for learning. I understand that each child is unique and all require a secure, caring and stimulating atmosphere, and I can help children to meet their potential through an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas.
I am currently a Primary School Teaching Assistant who is able to help any of your Maths and English needs to help you be the best you can be! I work in Year 6, so am available for 11+ tutoring and SATs too. I have 13 GCSE’s and 3 A-Levels in English Literature, Media and Sociology, so am able to aid you in GCSE help as well.
