Electrical conductivity is a measure of how well a material transports an electric charge and an essential property in electrical wiring systems. Annealed copper has a superior conductivity compared to all other electrical conductors and became the international standard. Aluminium has 61% of the conductivity of copper, if the cross-sectional areas of both conductors are the same. Silver, however, is the only metal with a higher electrical conductivity than copper - though it is much more expensive
