Hi Aishah, Whilst studying independently it is important that you have a guide or specification to refer to so that you understand the criteria for the grade you want to achieve. The book linked below has model answers which demonstrate how to boost your marks in the English Language GCSE exam. There are plenty of resources online too. It may take a little more work than you expect to get higher marks. However, as long as you invest a few hours a week to studying you will be well on your way to boosting your grade substantially in the summer exams. Revision is what you do right before your exam - it is light study - just recapping what you already know :) If you would like some dedicated support tailored to your specific weaknesses and areas in need of improvement I would be happy to help you. Good luck! :D https://www.amazon.co.uk/English-Language-Complete-Revision-Practice/dp/1782944141/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=english+language+gcse&qid=1606238503&sr=8-1
Hi Aishah, for English language I would say just make sure you have a lot of practice! You don’t know what will come up so practice Is really all you can do. For literature I would focus on key quotes, themes and characters for each text and have a lot of practice analysing poetry. If you wanted to get a lesson booked in and we can do some guided practice then that would be great! Thanks
