How Dickens present Christmas importance?

No matter your class or social background, Christmas is a time where all Christians feel celebratory and grateful of the little or a lot they have. Christmas is only truly celebrated when it is spent with the people someone loves, your amount of wealth is shown to be an unimportant factor towards the happiness within the celebration of Christmas. Dickens was a member of a highly Christian society where Christmas was about the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, the amount of money spent wasn’t as important as it is shown to be in today’s society. Through the novella, he wanted to bring back that idea of family and love being of much more importance than wealth and class/social background when it came to the religious celebration.
