Masculine rhyme is the most common type of rhyme. It occurs between single stressed syllables at the ends of verse lines. In contrast with feminine rhyme, which adds further unstressed syllables after rhyming stressed syllables, masculine rhyme matches only the final syllable with its equivalent in the paired line:
