I am currently studying English at the University of Cambridge. I have always found teaching to be rewarding and started tutoring as a volunteer for GCSE Foundation Maths students. I have previously tutored primary school children in both English and Maths. I have also helped state school students in preparation for Oxbridge admissions, specifically English. Currently, I volunteer as an English tutor for disadvantaged students living in West London. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading and writing. I understand that students have different needs and learn through different methods. I am willing to find what works best for the students I work with - whether it be through condensed revision, exam practice or anything else. When preparing for my own English exams for both A-Level and GCSE, I benefitted massively from making mindmaps/essay plans; I still have these so can share them as examples.
