GENERAL
Asked by Cornelia

Could someone please give me tips on how (and what) to prepare a child for the 7+ exams for one of the top London independent schools?

The key to preparing young children for these is exams is routine. Ensure that each day your child gets into the habit of looking over past paper questions and doing exercises, even if it is just 30min each day. Then perhaps look at spending more time on this over the weekends. This routine will help your child feel accomplished and will motivate them to want to do well! Positivity is my next piece of advice. Pressure at such a young age can be hard on any child, but rewarding them when they do well will encourage them to try even more. Starting preparation for these exams early will help take the pressure off. Feel free to message me if you need any more advice with this, I have helped prep students for the 11+ exams.
