I like to bury my face in a book of any genre; be it, history, philosophy etc.

A fundamental aspect of the French Revolution. The prison of Bastille, guarded by a permanent military garrison, held only 7 inmates was stormed by the civillian insurgents. It shows the dissapproval of excessive expenditure of the authorities by the public. It highlights the support of key institutions within Paris, the Gardes Francais, for the popular cause against the monarchy. This was an armed conflict between the troops of the French governmemt and armed civilians who had support of the permanent military garrison of the Gardes Francais.
