GEOGRAPHY
Asked by Audrey

What effects could a nuclear conflict have on the environment and the people of the region?

It can cause social effects if it distressed the community surrounding the nuclear plant. It can cause economic issues if it is a nuclear conflict that has not been controlled meaning buildings and houses around the plant will be worth less money or barren and also it is economic effect because the government AND the region inhabitants will have to pay more taxes for the solution to the issue and it will cause environmental issues by spilling nuclear waste into near lakes or rivers, into the soil causing it to turn corrupt so nothing can be grown on the land and can cause mutations to animals that inhabit the area. Hope this helps!
