List of firms and chambers: http://www.chambersstudent.co.uk There are many firms so you may want to limit by legal area or firms that cover a variety of legal areas. Pinsent Mason (law firm) has provided work experience in the past so you may want to research them. Also a generic Google of "work experience law firm/ barristers chambers" may help. This organisation also helps with providing work experience: http://www.socialmobility.org.uk I got work experience at the Royal Courts of Justice when I was in year 10. Contact them and The Supreme Court, and any local courts, to see if you could shadow an usher or a judge. Any legal work experience is valuable. From my experience, your best bet is to contact a lawyer directly. You can go to legal events aimed at students (search The Bar Council or The Law Society), network and try to stay in contact with those you meet. It is very hard to find work experience before you study a law degree and even more so before your A-levels, but it is possible and I wish you the best of luck.
