Funded history PhD student offering history and humanities tuition
I am currently undertaking a funded History PhD at King's College London. I hold a Masters in Renaissance and Early Modern Studies for which I was awarded a distinction and full funding as well as a BA Hons (First Class) in history and politics from the University of York. I have been a tutor since 2007 and have tutored over 100 clients since then. I am an organised, committed, reliable and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with children and young adults, helping them to develop their understanding and interest in a variety of subjects. I have been commended for my tutoring approach which emphasises clarity, consistency and enthusiasm. I have helped those I tutor to significantly improve their exam results and grades, often taking them from C and D level grades up to high As and Bs. One of my most recent tutee, who I tutored in GCSE Geography and History, achieved an A* in both subjects and came top of his year at school for his GCSE grades.
Fun, friendly and professional, currently at University of Sussex doing my LLM
I have been tutoring for 12 years and have worked in the UK and New Zealand as well as teaching English to Chinese students. I love my job as a tutor and get a lot of satisfaction out of helping others. I am experienced in UCAS applications especially for the vocational degrees such as Veterinary Medicine and Law. Previous students of mine that have worked hard at common entrance have gone on to some of the top schools in the country and abroad including Westminster and Brighton college. I get on well with students and make learning enjoyable tailoring my lessons for every student’s learning style. I have worked with high profile celebrities students and have travelled with students too!
Law and Oxbridge admissions tutor with 2+ years experience
I'm a First-class Law graduate from Oxford University and am currently waiting to begin my Master's in Law at Oxford. I am happy to tutor personal statements, interview and LNAT practice for Oxbridge applicants. I am an easy person to work with, and I aim to tailor my tutoring to suit your particular circumstances and style. This helps to set appropriate expectations and quickly establish a good relationship and rapport, which I have found helps immensely in tutoring situations. I am experienced with tutoring from GCSE to degree-level with many happy clients.
I have lots of tutoring and teaching experience that will help you get the grades you deserve!
I am extremely passionate when it comes to Law and Sociology. I love engaging with pupils, whether it is through teaching, tutoring or even mentoring. I am able to gain peoples trust quite quickly, which will result in the pupil being themselves in lessons so that I can fully engage with them. I aim to make my lessons fun and never awkward, always resulting in improved performance in their chosen subject/s. Whilst studying them at A Level, I used to teach it GCSE classes for Sociology where I learned how to adapt my style for younger pupils in order to help them benefit greatly. Many of the pupils I taught received grades 7-9. I also taught A Level Law and Sociology to first year sixth formers. I provided them with more rigorous and informative lessons, at the same time ensuring that they fully understand one topic before moving on. Every pupil I have taught has said they enjoyed my lessons and they always learn new things, which is what I strive to achieve. As Law and Sociology can be very hard subjects to learn with the amount of information you need to know, I have a range of teaching methods to ensure that pupils do actually take in and retain the necessary information for their courses. I only teach AQA and Edexcel Law and Sociology so please only proceed further if these are the right exam boards for you. I have access to a wealth past papers, mark schemes and mock questions that I will use throughout my lessons to constantly test my pupils and help them revise certain topics. All in all, I am the type of tutor that will become a role model for their pupil, mentoring them along the way so that it isn’t just academic progress they make but progress as people in general. I have a lot of experience dealing with pupils of all backgrounds and academic ability and I am able to adapt myself accordingly, making me a great choice for anyone who struggles to get along with other tutors.
Intellectual property law tutor with 30 years' experience
Learning a subject is much easier if you're enthusiastic about it, and I can't imagine a more exciting area of law than intellectual property. I have helped dozens of students not only pass their exams but become real enthusiasts for the subject - and many of them are now working in the area. As well as private tuition, I was module leader for IP at Nottingham Law School part-time and I have taught at a number of other universities. I'm very familiar with the University of London International Programme IP module, but happy to help students doing other courses.
