# At the start of 2014 tim’s house was worth £100000 the value of the house increased by 10% every year work out the value of his house at the start of 2018?

This one can be easily done using a method called compound interest: 100 000 × 1.1^4 = £146 410 You multiply by 1.1 as the price increases by 10% each year. So the price in 2015 is 110% more than in 2014. And you do it to the power of 4 as that is how many years passes by.
