MATHS
Asked by Matthew

Do you have to study Physics at A Level to be able to choose to study Quantum Mechanics in your final year at University (studying for a Maths degree)?

It's not necessary. Doing Physics at A-Level should help your understanding of concepts that connect with Quantum Mechanics but really, so long as you get onto the course, you can do any module within it. However, this does sometimes depend on how many subscribe to the course. If it's over subscribed you may be overlooked. Doing Physics will maximise your chances of getting in(also be sure to sign up for that module as soon as possible). This is general advice for any university so I'd recommend calling or emailing the Course Lead to find out more.
