# Find 10th term in a rule 5n - 2?

5n-2 is formula to a generate a whole arithmetic sequence. By using this formula you can generate any term of the sequence. So let us do it here. If I want to work out the 1st term, I would simply put n = 1 in the formula, So 5(1)-2 = 5-2 = 3 so the term term is 3. So to find the 10th term simply put n =10 Which is 5(10)-2 = 50-2 =48 Hope this helps! Malik Nabeel Ahmed

The rule is 5n - 2 . Having n as 1 give us the first term and having it as 10 give us the tenth term. So subbing in 10 into the equation, we have 5*10 - 2 which is 48 . So the tenth term is 48 G M
