# For a particular type of plant 25% have blue flowers. A garden center sells these plants in trays of 15 plants of mixed colours. A tray is selected at random. Find the probability that the number of blue flowers in this tray is: a) Exactly four?

Using binomial distribution, there are 15 plants in each tray, we take out one tray, and we want to find the p that 15 of these plants have blue flowers, the probability for each is 0.25, and we are checking through 15 plants so our number of trials will be 15. We want to know when X=4, therefore we use binomial pd Binomial Pd on calculator X=4 P=1/4 N=15 P(X=x)=0.22519906517 ·
