How can you work out 4 to the power of 3 x 10 to the power of 8 divided by 2 to the power of 5?

Hiya, when working out questions to do with powers it's often useful to make the base of the powers the same. So here we can make: (4^3)x(10^8)÷(2^5) = (2^6)x(10^8)÷(2^5) This is because 4=(2^2) Now the question is much easier to solve. Firstly, we can simplify (2^6)÷(2^5) to equal 2. This leaves: 2
