MATHS
Asked by Durdana

How would I explain the times tables to my son who is 7 years old?

Hi Duranda, Perhaps a good strategy would involve beginning by explaining what it really means to multiply a number by another number, in simple terms, and by giving real-life illustrations. In addition, if you want to help him to start memorising it, there are many cool tricks in maths that can make the multiplication table much easier to comprehend, memorise and, in some cases, actually calculate on spot.
