# Simplify 3a - 4b + a + 2b - 2a?

Here you can collect like terms which means put together whatever looks the same. So you have two terms a and b . So you would collect the a. 3a+a-2a = 3+1-2 = 2 so it would be 2a. And now lets collect the b terms. -4b +2b = -4+2 =-2b So now when you put it together it would be 2a-2b. Rosina Jojomon
