Solve, for 0 < theta < 360, giving your answers to 1 d.p. where appropiate. (b) 2 - cos theta = 2 sin^2 theta?

sin^2 + cos^2 = 1 so the equation is equal to 2 - cos theta = 2 (1 - cos^2 theta) so 2 - cos theta = 2 - 2cos^2 theta so cos theta = 2cos^2 theta answers: 90°, 270°
