# W=3(2a+b)-4 make a the subject?

Expand the bracket first by multiplying the number on the outside with each term on the inside: W = 6a + 3b - 4 Now shit the terms that don't include "a", making sure to do the inverse on the other side : W - 3b + 4 = 6a Now move the 6: (W - 3b + 4) / 6 = a
