At Scoodle we understand that everyone learns in a different way. Some people learn through practice, using essays and notes; others prefer video lessons to watch and learn, some just need help with a specifically hard question, while some learn best 1-on-1 tutoring sessions. At Scoodle we cater for all types of learning styles and needs. From GCSE Maths video lessons to A-level English essays and specialist educators in every subject - we’ve got you covered.
Imperial chemistry student who is passionate and diligent
I am born in Japan and spent 4 years of high school in Hong Kong. I found tutoring very rewarding especially in that I can see students gaining good understanding and confidence in their studies. As a chemistry student in Imperial College London, I have a good understanding of what and how to teach in order to prepare students for post secondary degrees. I have an experience in teaching English, science, history, geography, and mathematics to a grade 9 student. I am welcome to teach any students for GCSE level maths, physics, and A level chemistry or below. My teaching style is that I engage students by asking questions and making sure that the student has a good understanding of the content. I can also relate the course materials with real life applications, for example, through the use of my experience as a chemistry student in Imperial.
Study smarter, learn faster without working harder
I spent a lot of my class time in secondary school being bored and restless. I was NOT a model student. Sitting in a class was always so boring to me. Then I discovered fun ways of making the lessons interesting when I attended the Mind Olympics in Earls Court. The 'mind athletes' at this event learned how to use their brains like a musical instrument. Learning and memorising facts easily like picking up feathers. Ever since that time I have been learning many subjects and showing other students how to enjoy their subjects while find better ways to get the results they want.
Qualified Maths & Science Teacher with 7 years experience. Familiar with all new curriculums.
I started my teaching career before going to university, where I studied Economics and Accounting. I have over 7 years experience teaching Mathematics and Science up to GCSE. I deliver my classes based on my students needs which I asses from the very first lesson. Most students prefer learning visually and interactively. I have developed and adapted to a diverse range of teaching styles over the years to facilitate all my lessons.
"Fail to prepare, prepare to fail"
I studied at Ampleforth College in North Yorkshire. Here I spent 5 years as a Maths Tutor to my peers and those younger than me. Since then I have privately tutor a variety of subjects from Maths, English, Science, Economics, and much more. This experience has made me adept at interacting with and communicating clearly to those whom I teach. I have experience with AQA, Edexcel, iGCSE and OCR examination boards. I have recently received my MSc in Mental Health & Law from King’s College London (Pass with Merit); and before this a First Class Honours in Philosophy BA. I know exactly what it takes to get a head start in the subjects I tutor. In addition, I have experience teaching children with SEN. GCSE results: -4 a*s -7 a's A-Level results: -Economics-A -Government and Politics-A -Math-A
