Did Jesus forgive Pontius Pilate when he was crucified?

A very interesting question with no easy answer. When on the Cross, [referring to the Roman Soldiers], Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing [Luke 23:34], however is Pilate included in this? A tantalising clue comes from John 19:11 where Jesus says to Pilate [responding to Pilate saying he has power of life and death over him], "You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin" implying Jesus is absolving Pilate from responsibility. Does this mean Jesus forgave Pilate? I'll let you decide
