Seasoned tutor and undergraduate at University of Reading
As a student myself I understand some subjects may not be the most exciting and your teachers at school maybe not teach you in a way that’s best suited to maximise the amount of information you take in. I prefer a fun, exciting approach into teaching you (probably something you vE read in every tutors bio so far but I truly will put their words to the test). I like to get to know you to find out which teaching method is best for you. And over time help you enjoy learning about the subject rather than you feeling like it’s something YOU HAVE TO DO. As a law student I vE learnt how to condense and prioritise certain parts of text when you are being thrown A LOT of information and want to translate these qualities into my students.
Friendly and experienced science tutor with over 2 years experience
I have been tutoring student for a variety of subjects for the past 2 years however I specialise in Sciences and Mathematics. I give advice on how to approach exam questions, techniques and teach content clearly and concisely. I will work on areas of weakness with students and help them develop skills to help them during their exams. Achieving the best grades possible for my A Levels, I believe that I am capable of teaching science and maths. I teach according to a students individual abilities e.g. some students are visual learners, hence I will teach them in a different style and manner than those who think differently. I specialise in GCSE Science and Mathematics (not specific to an exam board), and may help teach AS and A level Biology, Chemistry and Maths.
Passionate religious studies tutor with specialisation in Catholicism
I have been engaged in group and personal teaching/tutoring for many years. Whilst it is no longer my main profession it remains a personal passion of mine. I have a very calm and peaceful personality and like to remove any sense of pressure from my students as I do not believe this is helpful to the learning process. I am also very adaptable to dealing with each student’s needs individually and in the style that best suits them.
Structured revision and learning for academic success!
I am hugely passionate about essays! To get an essay structure right, to ensure a flow of argument, and a continuity of well-selected evidence is to ensure a high grade. With this in mind, my tutoring will prepare you with both a depth and breadth of knowledge, together with an academic rigour ahead of your exams or coursework. Some things about me: I’m incredibly interested and passionate in the interplay of politics, religion and human rights. I’m about to start my Cambridge degree in Theology. I have been the recipient of a number of awards: - The London School of Economics’ Political Review Essay Competition (1st Place) - The United Nations’ FERA Partner Award at the Plural Plus short film competition - Finalist in the John Locke Institute’s Philosophy Essay Competition - Awarded an Honorary Academic Scholarship at Charterhouse School
First Class History of Art Graduate, and Theology Graduate Student at Oxford
I have the most to offer to A Level students, but would also be willing to work flexibly with first year undergraduates on both essay refinement, and also in designing a schedule of additional material above and beyond the content of any course formally studied. Above all, I'm happy to look over and talk through work before its formal submission at GCSE, A Level, and first year of undergraduate study. Alongside taking a First Class degree at the University of Buckingham in the History of Western Art, I took an additional specialised research track in English Literature, producing First Class work across all areas of study and research. I have experience in tutoring International Baccalaureate and A Level, and have supported admissions to Russell Group universities.
