Asked by Tim

How do fossils show evidence of evolution?

Fossils are found in layers of rock. The older the rock, the older the fossils as they must have been there at the rock’s formation. By using the progressive ages of the fossils, and comparing them to each other, you can see how a type of organism changes over thousands of years.
