How does dry natural gas differ from wet natural gas?

Dry natural gas is 100% methane but wet natural gas has some other hydrocarbons such as ethane and butane so is not as pure. Dry natural gas can be pumped into pipelines with some scrubbing to remove impurities but wet gas needs to be purified to separate the hydrocarbons
