Global warming refers to the rise in temperature around the world whereas ozone depletion refers to the thinning/loss of ozone. Ozone depletion occurs due to certain aerosols such as CFC's which were commonly used in old refrigerators. When they were dumped, the CFC's would escape and rise into the atmosphere and reduce the ozone layer. This leads to holes being formed which reduces our protection against UV rays. However due to the coronavirus, less pollutants have been released into the air which has given the earth a chance to repair one of the biggest holes as well as drastically reduce CO2 levels. This does not outweigh the lives of people lost due to covid19 but it has allowed countries to make big changes to have a smaller impact on our environment.
