This all depends on what the carbon dioxide is going to be replaced with. Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas and therefore 'traps' heat. If the carbon dioxide is replaced with a gas that is better at trapping heat (such as methane) then the air temperatures would increase. If the gas is worse, there would be a decrease.
