Which are better, biofuels or fossil fuels? What are pros and cons of both?
I have recently graduated from Imperial College London with an Upper Second Class degree in Biochemistry
This is an interesting question - it depends what you're considering when you ask what is 'better'. Naturally, biofuels are better for long-term environmental friendliness, but aren't as efficient in terms of total energy released. Fossil fuel: non-renewable, limited supply, release carbon dioxide when they burn (greenhouse effect), but produce large amounts of energy for a relatively low cost. Biofuels - renewable, potentially unlimited supply, but less efficient and more expensive. You can read further here: https://helpsavenature.com/biofuels-vs-fossil-fuels
