If you decide quite early on that you aren’t enjoying it then you can try to transfer your degree to a different subject. Usually before the end of term one.

This depends on the university, but you can usually drop out, only having to pay for the terms/semesters you've taken.

E.g. if you don't like it before December & you drop out, usually you just pay for the first term £3k of a £9k/year degree.

You may even be able to get away with paying nothing depending on which university, and when you drop out.
