Medical Doctor (MBBS), Biomedical Science (1st class honours), Pharmacy assistant (NPA qualification), previous tutoring experience (The Study Spot, Deen Tutors, private one-to one-tutoring), previous medical school interviewer, A levels (Maths, Biology, Chemistry), AS level (Electronics), GCSEs (11 total with mostly A* and Aโ€™s). Overall, my strong suits are in the STEM field, Maths, English and Science. I would be happy to help with medical school content (OSCE practice, medicine, surgery, specialties, prescribing exam), but I am also happy to take on suggestions and be flexible with what is taught. I am also happy to help those preparing to apply to medical school (interviews, personal statements, transfer programme at St Georges Medical School, applying as a graduate) or to the NHS foundation program (SJT). Really enjoy teaching! If I didnโ€™t take the medical route I probably would have become a teacher. Currently charging ยฃ25/ph for lessons, but wonโ€™t be like this for long!

Experienced Chemistry teacher

I'm an A level chemistry teacher with 10 years of full time classroom experience at post 16 and 5 at secondary school. I consider it important for my students to feel comfortable and able to ask questions and attempt answers. I have experience teaching students with English as an additional language as my prior college had an international school as well as UK students. I start with assessing prior knowledge and breaking the material down into stages with increasing complexity and then always include past exam questions to help students improve on their exam technique

Enthusiastic tutor by day and UCL medic by night!

Experienced Maths, Science and Medical Application tutor. I have always enjoyed teaching and have years of experience tutoring. I think studying should be fun! Having said that, I hated school growing up. I was always in the bottom set, and had little motivation to improve. But through some great teachers and online tutors in year 11, I turned things around. I went from low predicted grades to smashing my GCSEs, getting 3A* and an A (Maths, Bio, Chem and Spanish) at A-Level and 4 medical school offers!!! Now I want to help others enjoy learning, as I believe thatโ€™s the key to success. Whether you just want to pass, improve slightly or massively, I hope I can help!! Thanks, Ben

Physics Student at UCL | Past Teaching Experience | Online Tutoring Available

Hello! Iโ€™m a first year physics student at UCL. I am really passionate about helping students with getting into their first choice universities and so Iโ€™m offering tuition in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. I believe in teaching as a discussion between between peers, rather than me just talking at a student. I find that many difficulties are down to over complicated explanations or a few simple misconceptions, so when I teach I ensure I gain an accurate understanding of studentsโ€™ past teachings, concerns and questions. Donโ€™t hesitate to contact me if your son/daughter might be interested in my tutoring services.

I love learning and helping others achieve their potential and learn too.

Iโ€™m currently in college studying French, Spanish and Maths A-Level in North London after achieving a Grade 9 (A*) in both Maths and English Language as well as a Grade 7 (A) in English Literature. I have in depth knowledge on the new style curriculum especially as I tutor Maths GCSE weekly. I am very personable and aim to create a fun but hardworking atmosphere that benefits and incorporates both the student and the parents. As well as tutoring, I can help with how to deal with exam stress and exam preparation as I view wellbeing to be as important as academic success. I also have experience helping people with learning difficulties and those who just generally struggle as well as those of higher abilities.

Experienced Tutor | Undergraduate in Mathematics and Philosophy

My name is Will and I am a student at the University of York. I am currently studying a BSc Mathematics and Philosophy (equal). I would describe myself as very patient, confident and approachable person with a passion for allowing people to reach their potential. I am extremely hard-working and will do anything to make sure I do the best job that I can. Last year I taught 2 students, one GCSE and one A-Level, both maths. Both were very successful and found that my tutoring improved their overall grade. See further for my teaching style: Experience has taught me that the best approach is to always be patient. I let the student dictate the pace of learning, taking more time on topics that are more of struggle for the student. I am extremely hard-working and organising making sure that the student is clear about the progress in their learning. I would usually start a session figuring out the topic the student like to work in then progressing with the main teaching part. Obviously all students learn different ways with some people being more visual learners and some auditory. As such, I have a wide range of techniques to make sure that the student gets the most from the sessions. These range from, worked examples of questions, to a step by step method of how to answer a question, as well as past papers with written model solutions. I would say that I am a very creative person which allows me to adapt my teaching style when the opportunity calls for it. Getting close to the exam period I will try to give techniques to apply during exams as well as how to come with stress or pressure during this time. Finally I have set my prices significantly much lower than other tutors out there. I live by the philosophy that price shouldn't be a barrier in somebody achieving their potential. I hope the prices seem fair for the service that I offer.

Enthusiastic tutor in chemistry and maths

I have graduated from high school in the UK and am currently studying Medicine at UCL. I am very interested in science subjects, and have taken them in A levels, receiving 3A*s. I would therefore like to share my ways of studying as well as exam techniques. I am a curious and enthusiastic individual who is particularly interested in Chemistry. I have been involved in Chemical Analytical Challenges and Symposiums. At school, I have also given biology presentations, including topics of epilepsy and effects of chocolate on the brain. I enjoy learning about the human system as it allows me to understand fully on how our body responds to different situations. I also had the experience of teaching Mathematics, alongside sciences. I have achieved A* within a year in A level maths, with UMS 581/600. I relish the logical thinking in Maths and have tutored several students, giving them advice on how to approach a question when prompted. From past experiences, I adopted a wide range of teaching styles, ranging from interactive whiteboards during online tutoring, to providing quizzes and exercises during face-to-face tutoring. I believe that this interaction will enhance visual learning and enable students to retain knowledge and be more interested in the subject. I am a native Chinese speaker and have taken Chinese GCSE and AS level. In my free time, I am an avid violinist and was the leader of Symphony Orchestra. I have taken music as one of my GCSEs before and I particularly enjoyed the classical pieces studied during the course. I hope to connect with more people and influence students with my passion for the subjects through teaching. Please contact me if interested. Thank you very much.

A Biomedicine student with a genuine interest in science looking to help!

I am a second year Biomedical Science student at Cardiff University with a passion for science, and experience volunteering as a tutor. My experience includes volunteering as a library โ€˜reading mentorโ€™ for the younger years at school, as a language leader for Spanish during my GCSEs, as a STEM ambassador more recently during university, and as a personal mentor going into second year. If you would like to know more about these experiences and how they would benefit my teaching please donโ€™t hesitate to contact me :) I appreciate how hard it must be for the current cohort of students during this period of time away from school, when many still have GCSEs and A-levels next year. I want to help! Iโ€™m offering reasonably priced lessons, online, in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology, to assist you in your learning and ensure you keep up a standard ready for exams and mocks. I sat my A-levels last year and achieved A*,A*,A,A and my GCSE grades are 6A*s, 3As and 2Bs. I therefore have an up to date and comprehensive knowledge of OCR Salters B A-level Chemistry, Edexcel GCSE Chemistry, AQA A-level Biology, EDEXCEL GCSE Biology and AQA A-level psychology. I would be happy to describe concepts from other exam boards.

Keep calm and get a good tutor. How bout Me? ;)

Hi !! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ Call me Jo! I am currently an engineering undergraduate at the university of Cambridge and am passionate to share my love for STEM. Having achieved 4A* and 1A at A level last year, I know exactly what is needed to succeed in the exams. Coming from a franco-Chinese family I also benefit from being trilingual. This took hard work but more importantly โ€˜smartโ€™ work too and I constantly review my learning methods to ensure they are as efficient in the language learning process as possible. I am currently using it to learn German... so you could join me on the language learning journey! Or go for the more traditional and serious subjects such as math and the sciences. I have had a good deal of teaching experience both online and offline and am keen to engage on Scoodle too! So if you think youโ€™d be interested, donโ€™t hesitate to message me and we can figure it out from there ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Safwaan S.

Imperial College London Chemistry Graduate

Hey guys! My name is Saf, I am a final year chemistry undergraduate at Imperial College London, a university ranked 9th in the world (QS World University Rankings 2020). I am now delivering summer courses in A-Level Chemistry and the GCSE Sciences & Mathematics, especially for any students who are unhappy with their predicted grades. Education is a huge passion of mine and Iโ€™ve absolutely loved teaching all of my students, one of whom ranked top ten for A-Level Chemistry in Peter Symondsโ€™ College amongst his cohort of approximately 350 students. Many of my students have gone on to study Medicine (University of Southampton, Imperial College London & University of Manchester), Dentistry (Barts and The London School for Medicine & Dentistry) and Psychology (Cardiff University). My tutoring career started back at college in 2017 (Peter Symonds College) when I began running my own study classes for individuals in my cohort struggling with the new A-Level Linear Exams, it proved a huge success and as a result I was gifted with the Chemistry Award of Peter Symonds' College for achievement in academia and contribution to the department. I then carried on tutoring 1st & 2nd year undergraduates at Imperial College London. Being a fairly young tutor, I can completely relate to the struggles of many of my students, especially those now undertaking the linear A-Level Chemistry of which my cohort was the first! I have a very thorough understanding of exam strategies and how to grab all the marks in a paper, and also how to structure ones revision.

Hard-working tutor and undergraduate at Imperial College London

My name is Kat, I am a full-time tutor. I completed my BSc Biochemistry at Imperial College London and MSc at the London School of Economics. I have a wide range of hobbies which include music and art. My indulgence in my hobbies, however, did not prevent me from distinguishing myself academically (I took 5 subjects at A-level and 11 subjects at GCSE, and achieved all A*/A). I want my students to understand and learn in an efficient albeit enjoyable way. Biology, Chemistry, Maths I enjoy teaching and have been a tutor for 7 years. I teach Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I care about students, and I wish that they could learn to love Science and Maths as I do. To achieve the high goals I set for my students, I require the cooperation of the student and a change in attitude. I believe that everyone is capable of getting an A*/9 in any subject, as long as they are dedicated to achieving that goal. Every student is different, as such, I tailor my teaching methods to each individual student. I put emphasis on encouraging students, cultivating their natural interest and understanding of the subjects they chose to take. I have found this approach to be more effective in building confidence in students, motivating them, and in realizing their full potential - all of which are key to exam success.

Lessons adapted to meet your requirements to help you reach your full potential.

Hi Thank you for visiting my profile. I always ensure my lessons are engaging and adapted to the needs of the student. It is extremely important that my students feel like they are able to ask lots of questions and that I can encourage their inquisitive minds. Currently, I am a full time Biology, Physics and key stage three Science teacher. I work in a non selective school which has students with a broad range of abilities, therefore, it is essential that I ensure to differentiate my lessons. I also have a broad background working in the Science industry. I worked as a Diagnostic Radiographer, this role allowed me to gain many transferrable skills required to be an excellent teacher. These skills include excellent communication and collaboration skills, attention to detail, developing good working relationships and time management skills. Additionally, I also worked as a Pharmacy Technician which also has many transferable skills to teaching. Including the ability to clearly teach and explain to customers how to take their medicine safely, high attention to detail and always being very organised and punctual. Furthermore, while I was studying Radiography I applied for the peer mentor role, which involved assisting first year students with any areas of academic studies in which they might be struggling. Other roles of this job involved helping students holistically and to offer advice to the challenges that university life can have. I found this role rewarding and enjoyable and was one of the reasons I wanted to pursue a career in full time teaching. Due to my vast and various back ground knowledge in Science academically and professionally, this has enabled me to teach students with passion and enthusiasm. I am a very helpful, hardworking and always strive to teach my students to the best of their ability.

An enthusiast Physics and Maths tutor with 5 years of teaching experience.

I am a Physics PhD graduate from Imperial College with three years of university teaching and 400+ hours private tutoring. I love teaching because I want to flourish the potential of young people, as they would be the leaders of the future. My teaching style is based on following the relevant syllables of the subject and work with the students at their own pace according to their own needs. I try to see things from the viewpoint of the student, so that I can teach in a more effective way. My primary focus is to make sure the students fundamentally understand the topics, rather than just memorising without actually grasping the subject.

I am passionate about education and want to help!

I chose my GCSE options in year 8 and started them in year 9. It was then I felt like I had to decide what career I want to go in. I knew I enjoyed teaching as I've done a lot mentoring; I also knew that Religious Studies was one of my most favourite subjects. Really, I loved (still do) cooking the most so a career in catering was also something I wanted but then I decided that from my experience it's not the most stable career and I am an academic. My parents suggested I go into law so I focussed on that. I got 18 A* - Cs for GCSE. I got a scholarship into Oxford for a pre-degree law course which I did along side my A-levels. For AS I did German, Philosophy and Ethics, History and English language and literature. The latter 2 subjects I did not do enjoy as much so I dropped them in A2 and picked up a full A-level in IT. I got a reduced offer to do law at Oxford but I decided I didn't want to do that anymore nor be in that environment again. I chose to do philosophy and R.S. instead which allowed me to dabble with other topics such as psychology, sociology, and government and politics. I have worked at schools as pupil assistant, mentor and teacher. I am now a manager at a tuition centre. (And I've been tutoring for over 8 years now). Sorry for the essay!

Seasoned tutor studying Law at Warwick University. Online tutoring available!

Hello! My name is Alyssa Miller and I am a first year Law student at the University of Warwick. I am half Chinese and half English; consequently, I am fluent in both English and Chinese. I have had a lot of experience in tutoring, from being a classroom helper for an entire GCSE Mandarin class, to being a personal tutor in English Literature for a struggling year 11 boy, to teaching basic Mandarin to a class full of Burmese refugee children. All these experiences have helped enhance my communication coupled with my teaching skills, it has allowed me to realise what to prioritise when approaching a new student - their strengths and weaknesses, their level of confidence towards the subject and most importantly, what learning methods best suit them. I will employ these techniques in order to ensure your child receives the best possible tutoring, and their grades coupled with their passion for the subject improve as soon as possible!

GCSE English and Maths and A Level psychology Tutor

Private Tutor studying Medicine at University of Birmingham I teach GCSE English and Maths across all the exam boards specific to each specification. I also teach A Level Psychology, UCAS statement checks and Medicine Interview Practice. I deliver the classes on a friendlier approach, which I find is more effective, making the student more motivated to learn. Especially as the first year going through the new 9-1 specification, I understand the struggle of trying to get everything done in a short space of time but with over 3 years of weekly teaching, I have gained the skills suited for this role.
