I have recently graduated from law and am continuing my post graduate studies to become a qualified lawyer by the end of the year. Throughout my A levels and 3 years of uni I have tutored a total of 30 students and have raised their English grades on average by 2 whole grades. My tutoring style is heavily exam based and I always try and relate what I am teaching back to the exam because the ultimate goal is to prepare them as much as possible.

Undergraduate at Warwick Mathematics Institute

Iโ€™m a student about to start my second year on the University Of Warwick Mathematics degree, which Iโ€™m loving. I did my A Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, and Physics. I have a very relaxed style, but I can certainly help a student progress in their mathematical competence. I can structure the online lesson according to what best suits the student. I can teach anything from secondary school level maths up to A Level Maths (including statistics and mechanics) in any exam board. I can also teach pure maths from A Level further maths. I also offer 11+ tuition in maths at the same rate.

Luke N.

A newly qualified history teacher. Experience with pupil's 11-18.

I am a historian and a history teacher. I graduated with a 2:1 BA degree in history from Edge Hill University, in 2018, and subsequently qualified as a teacher in 2020. I attained both my PGCE and my status as a qualified teacher from the University of Cumbria. I have an experience with teaching a wide range of academic abilities and ages and seek to match a pupil's learning to their specific academic needs. My approach is to develop a set routine for pupil's. Pupil's enter the classroom with prior expectations from previous sessions. The lesson will always begin with a task which draws upon knowledge from prior learning. This task allows pupil's to settle in to the rythym of the lesson, while showing me that a pupil has retained a degree of knowledge. Normally, this will transition into a starter task which is linked to the title and objectives of the lesson. This forces pupil's to make a connection with the lesson objectives going forward. The middle section of the lesson aims to tackle the heart of the lesson objectives and pupil's will often work independently or in small groups to achieve this. While monitoring behaviour during this task, I will also monitor the progress of each pupil. Having pupil's complete their work independently allows me to assess how much of their learning is derived from me and how much is driven by themselves. Towards the end of the lesson I will expect that most of the class will have a firm understanding of the lesson content. For those who haven't quite grasped the content, efforts are made to ensure that they are focused more upon in the next lesson. Lessons generally consist of verbal discussion, source analysis, knowledge building exercises and essay style short answers (depending on the group's academic ability). A plenary is used at the end of a lesson in order to sew together the contents of the lesson, along with a pupil's understanding of the lesson objectives. In addition, it provides me with a clear image of whether the class has met the specified objectives set out at the start of the lesson

Award winning Maths & Computing Tutor | KS3, GCSE, A-Level

Hi, I'm Ross! I have been tutoring for over 5 years and Iโ€™m passionate about helping students reach their full potential, whilst also enjoying the learning experience. I offer Maths and Computing lessons between KS3 and A-Level and Iโ€™m currently focussing on online tuition. -----Experience----- โ€ข I have tutored more than 20 students for a total of over 400 hours โ€ข Worked with students aged 11-18 of a wide range of abilities โ€ข Masterโ€™s degree in Computing from Imperial College London โ€ข DBS certified -----Teaching Style----- โ€ข Every student is different and so are my lessons. They are specifically tailored for each studentโ€™s requirements. โ€ข Students are assigned homework each week to consolidate the lesson content. This is marked before the next lesson so we can go through feedback at the start of the next lesson. โ€ข I teach in a very interactive style which encourages student engagement. I find this is more effective in allowing the student to understand the content, rather than just memorising and regurgitating. โ€ข I try to relate the content being taught to interesting real-world examples to make the lessons more relevant and exciting. โ€ข I place a large emphasis on learning from past papers since this allows students to learn exactly what is required to maximise their marks in the exam.

I love learning and helping others achieve their potential and learn too.

Iโ€™m currently studying at Warwick University for French and Linguistics after achieving a Grade 9 (A*) in both Maths and English Language as well as a Grade 7 (A) in English Literature. I have in depth knowledge on the new style curriculum especially as I tutor Maths GCSE weekly. I am very personable and aim to create a fun but hardworking atmosphere that benefits and incorporates both the student and the parents. As well as tutoring, I can help with how to deal with exam stress and exam preparation as I view wellbeing to be as important as academic success. I also have experience helping people with learning difficulties and those who just generally struggle as well as those of higher abilities.

Enthusiastic tutor by day and UCL medic by night!

Experienced Maths, Science and Medical Application tutor. I have always enjoyed teaching and have years of experience tutoring. I think studying should be fun! Having said that, I hated school growing up. I was always in the bottom set, and had little motivation to improve. But through some great teachers and online tutors in year 11, I turned things around. I went from low predicted grades to smashing my GCSEs, getting 3A* and an A (Maths, Bio, Chem and Spanish) at A-Level and 4 medical school offers!!! Now I want to help others enjoy learning, as I believe thatโ€™s the key to success. Whether you just want to pass, improve slightly or massively, I hope I can help!! Thanks, Ben

Physics Student at UCL | Past Teaching Experience | Online Tutoring Available

Hello! Iโ€™m a first year physics student at UCL. I am really passionate about helping students with getting into their first choice universities and so Iโ€™m offering tuition in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. I believe in teaching as a discussion between between peers, rather than me just talking at a student. I find that many difficulties are down to over complicated explanations or a few simple misconceptions, so when I teach I ensure I gain an accurate understanding of studentsโ€™ past teachings, concerns and questions. Donโ€™t hesitate to contact me if your son/daughter might be interested in my tutoring services.

Medical Sciences Student, 2+ years of experience at a licensed tuition centre :)

Studying Medical Sciences at The University of Edinburgh has been an experience that has not only helped me understand the importance and value of education, but also taught me to have pride for the achievements that you accomplish at every stage of life; emanating from an individuals hard work and effort, this in itself is a great motivator. Having a years worth of experience tutoring KS3, GCSE and A level students at a licensed tuition centre, I realised my personal aim is not only to aid my tutees in achieving their fullest potential but allowing them to go beyond so that they become ever-gratifying to their dedication, and not only walk away from their schooling years with a sheet of paper that rewards their diligence, but also a work ethic and skill set that opens up many opportunities in life. Academia addresses more than just memorising the examinable materials. Every subject tests different degrees of critical thinking, application of knowledge and strategic answering. Recognising the importance of being able to do so is vital, both in and out of the exam hall, in order to achieve success. I aim to provide my tutees with a stress relieving teaching experience that is engaging and effective, all while honing their thinking skills, alongside making learning new content a passion rather than a chore. My teaching methods ensure that the child is always looking forward to their next lesson, which enforces a positive mindset - vital to effective learning!

Keep calm and get a good tutor. How bout Me? ;)

Hi !! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ Call me Jo! I am currently an engineering undergraduate at Imperial College London and am passionate to share my love for STEM. Having achieved 4A* and 1A at A level last year, I know exactly what is needed to succeed in the exams. Coming from a franco-Chinese family I also benefit from being trilingual. This took hard work but more importantly โ€˜smartโ€™ work too and I constantly review my learning methods to ensure they are as efficient in the language learning process as possible. I am currently using it to learn German... so you could join me on the language learning journey! Or go for the more traditional and serious subjects such as math and the sciences. I have had a good deal of teaching experience both online and offline and am keen to engage on Scoodle too! So if you think youโ€™d be interested, donโ€™t hesitate to message me and we can figure it out from there ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Wahida A.

I am passionate about education and want to help!

I chose my GCSE options in year 8 and started them in year 9. It was then I felt like I had to decide what career I want to go in. I knew I enjoyed teaching as I've done a lot mentoring; I also knew that Religious Studies was one of my most favourite subjects. Really, I loved (still do) cooking the most so a career in catering was also something I wanted but then I decided that from my experience it's not the most stable career and I am an academic. My parents suggested I go into law so I focussed on that. I got 18 A* - Cs for GCSE. I got a scholarship into Oxford for a pre-degree law course which I did along side my A-levels. For AS I did German, Philosophy and Ethics, History and English language and literature. The latter 2 subjects I did not do enjoy as much so I dropped them in A2 and picked up a full A-level in IT. I got a reduced offer to do law at Oxford but I decided I didn't want to do that anymore nor be in that environment again. I chose to do philosophy and R.S. instead which allowed me to dabble with other topics such as psychology, sociology, and government and politics. I have worked at schools as pupil assistant, mentor and teacher. I am now a manager at a tuition centre. (And I've been tutoring for over 8 years now). Sorry for the essay!

Seasoned tutor studying Law at Warwick University. Online tutoring available!

Hello! My name is Alyssa Miller and I am a first year Law student at the University of Warwick. I am half Chinese and half English; consequently, I am fluent in both English and Chinese. I have had a lot of experience in tutoring, from being a classroom helper for an entire GCSE Mandarin class, to being a personal tutor in English Literature for a struggling year 11 boy, to teaching basic Mandarin to a class full of Burmese refugee children. All these experiences have helped enhance my communication coupled with my teaching skills, it has allowed me to realise what to prioritise when approaching a new student - their strengths and weaknesses, their level of confidence towards the subject and most importantly, what learning methods best suit them. I will employ these techniques in order to ensure your child receives the best possible tutoring, and their grades coupled with their passion for the subject improve as soon as possible!

Coursework and exam support for a range of subjects.

Following my First Class BA Honours in Music and Musical Theatre, I completed a Masters in Creative Writing. Whilst following my ambitions to be a writer, I was struck by how much I enjoy education and how I feel that education is not accessible to everyone. I hope to change this through tutoring and teaching others. I structure my teaching using a student centred approach. In one-to-one sessions I will consider how my student learns; do they like to draw; do colours help them; what previous methods have/have not worked? I will modify my teaching style to the student, rather than asking the learner to fit my mould. Group sessions are pretty similar, although, I generally keep it more broad, trying to find a way everyone can understand, if this is not possible, I will explain the task or topic in a generally understood way and ask the students if they have questions and to explain it to one another. This way I can find out where the gaps in understanding are and I can fill those in a way that is suitable for the learner that has not understood.
