Applying for medical school requires multiple things you need ticked off, these are:

- Predicted grades of AAA (A*AA becoming a norm nowadays)
- High quality personal statement and reference
- Work experience in a medical setting (GP or Hospital)
- Extra curricular activities to show long term commitment, robustness and all-roundedness
- Completion of either the UKCAT, BMAT, or both exams (depending on which universities you intend to apply to)

The actual application process happens on UCAS, where a student can apply for a maximum of 4 medical schools out of their 5 choices, with the fifth being any other related course of your choice - this is to increase the chances of gaining a university spot as rejection is a very likely reality for the majority of medical school applicants.
