Work out the volume of this hemisphere. Give your answer to 1 decimal place. Radius is 8 cm?

Volume of the sphere = (4/3)πr³ = 4/3 x π x 512 = 2048/3 x π Divide by 2 to get volume of hemisphere V = 1024/3 x π = 1,072.3 cm³ to 1 d.p.

Expand 4(3x-5)?

I assume the bracket reads “3 times x, minus 5”, not “3 multiplied by negative 5” 🤓 Multiply everything in the bracket by 4. 3x multiplied by 4 = 12x. -5 multiplied by 4 = -20. Answer = 12x - 20.

The surface temperature is about 6000 degrees Centigrade - towards the centre is obviously a lot hotter, maxing out at about 15,000,000 degrees C # Andy Finney
