SGATGK presents the ideal knight as one who is courteous, true and willing to undergo trials and tribulations should they be necessary by, for example, oath or pride. Gawain progresses in his knightliness as the tale unfolds, while the round table stays bound to its own flawed ideals. This is most obviously seen in the tales conclusion, where Gawain, who wears the girdle as a sign of his failure, inspires the court to make the girdle a part of their knightly attire - thinking it a symbol of knightliness and not cowardice. Bertilak’s pact with Gawain, then, functions as he states, it was a test to determine how true Gawain would be. Gawain passes this test through his honesty in face of the lady’s attempted seduction and his rejection of the same, even if he stumbles in his acceptance of the girdle.
By contrast, the Knight’s Tale is more geared towards mocking these courtly traditions, with the dominant idea of Fortune’s Wheel (that which turns the great poor and poor great) essentially nullifying the purpose of striving for greatness, or knightliness, if it can be swept away in an instant. Instead, TKT preaches the acceptance of these turns of fortune, it’s conclusion sees sorrow turned to happiness for the surging couple after they accept that which has happened and strive to live happily in spite of it.

Compare and contrast Sir Gawain and the Green Knight and the Knight's tale what are the qualities of an ideal knight do they different and all ?use textual evidence from both texts

Priestly’s goal, through the device of the young woman’s suicide, is to demonstrate to the family and the audience that any action taken “voluntarily” is an action taken in context of the person’s lived experiences. This is not to say that Priestly argues that there is no free will, but rather that he argues that one can influence an act, even a murder, without realising that one is doing so. As such, Priestly suggests that it is our moral and social duty to help those in need, rather than compound their suffering with actions or, even, indifference.
This is a concept brought out in page 8 of Alan Norrie’s “A Critique of Criminal Causation” (the modern law review, Sep. 1991, pg 685-701) as such, “The girl’s suicide is ‘voluntary’, but it is still caused by the acts of the family, so that no special finality is given to her actions. ‘Voluntariness’ loses its special character when a broader view of events and actions is taken.”

How does priestley present ideas about social duty in an inspector calls

William was the illegitimate son of king Robert I of Normandy and the daughter of a tanner. His enemies mocked his “low birth” and he was known, prior to his taking of the English throne, as William the Bastard. That is the bastard part sorted, the luck comes into play when we look at HOW he took the throne. 
William defeated Harold Godwinson at the battle of Hastings in 1066 - but this was not the plan. William had wanted to invade England months earlier but poor weather had delayed his fleet from crossing the channel. In the time between his fleet readying and them actually putting out to water another contender for the throne, Hardrada, a Norwegian, had landed an army in the north of England. Godwinson was forced to march north very quickly in order to defeat Hardrada, his men tiring themselves in both the force march north and the battle itself. By the time Godwinson defeated the Norwegian contender, William had arrived in the south. Godwinson marched down, giving his men very little rest, only to lose the battle of Hastings and the English throne to the Normans. 
This is just one example of William’s good fortune, others you could pull from are his influential marriage, the breaking of established tactics by the English in Hastings and the fact he had captured Godwinson years before and made him pledge to support William’s claim to the throne should the need arise, thereby further justifying his claim.

Why was William Duke of Normandy known as a lucky bustard?

If you have continued experience in the field outside of curriculum, I’m thinking here of performance degrees like music or theatre, then I can’t see it being a problem. However, the further towards the sciences you go with the degree the less you’re able to apply skills learnt elsewhere and the more you need that learning that might’ve been missed.

Applying for University

If I have past experience in a subject (for example GCSE level) but I don't do that subject during my A levels can I something related to that subject in university or will I be too inexperienced?
