The process of evolution took millions of years between just a couple of microscopic bacteria on earth and humans today. So what’s to say that other planets don’t currently have microscopic bacteria (that we’re obviously unaware of because we’ve never been there) and will go through a similar evolution as we had on earth in the next couple of million years. OR maybe life does exist on other planets we just don’t know because our telescopes aren’t advanced enough to see them. The universe is infinite- they must be out there somewhere. And in the timeline of the universe the chances of them being at a similar stage of evolution as us is unlikely. We’re too far away from each other to ever meet, unfortunately :(

Why does life not exist on other planets like our planet earth?

They work similarly to coal or gas power plants. The radioactive substance naturally gives off energy as it goes through fission/ fusion. The substance is submerged in water and the water heats up to a boil. This produces steam which is passed through a turbine which spins to produce electricity in a generator (how this happens will also be part of the GCSE physics spec). The steam is then cooled and put back into the initial water tank. To control the electricity production, rods of energy-absorbing metals such as lead are also put in the water which can be moved to absorb more (or less) of the energy to control how much water is turned into steam. 

How do nuclear power plants produce energy?

DNA is made up of base pairs which, when put in a particular order, code for the production of a particular chain of amino acids (proteins). These long strands of DNA (which are essentially recipe books for proteins) are coiled up into structures called chromosomes. These come in pairs and human cells normally have 23 pairs or 46 in total. All these chromosomes are stored in the nucleus of each cell.
