‘Each child has the right to achieve his or her potential. As teachers we have the power and responsibility to make this happen.’ (Moyles and Robinson, 1995) These words inspire me to want to be the best teacher I can be. An appropriate, balanced, challenging and creative curriculum is hugely important in developing children’s skills, knowledge and understanding. My aim as a teacher is to provide children with as many learning opportunities and experiences as possible to engage, motivate and challenge them.
