Experienced tutor for adults & children - Currently tutoring online

Tutoring in English, History and Art! - Currently tutoring online! Qualifications: โ€ข MA (in progress) in Creative Writing โ€ข BA (Hons) English Language and Literature with Creative Writing โ€ข TEFL โ€“ in 120 hours Teaching English Teaching Experience โ€ข 6 Years โ€ข Across 4 countries worldwide โ€ข Classroom and interactive lessons โ€ข Structured lesson plans, assessments. โ€ข English & Swimming Tutor Experience โ€ข 2 year โ€ข English & Creative Writing Profile I have developed my early working path around a well founded work ethic and excellent client relations over my years in professional roles. I have 8 years professional experience across 5 sectors, including 5 years Teaching and 1 year in Journalism. During my professional career I have taught for two companies, across four centres providing me with an abundance of experience working with children and a deep understanding of learning techniques. Additionally I also have an understanding of the importance of relaying information to parents regarding progress to make sure all parties are up to date and in sync to a common goal. Other teaching experience includes having had the opportunity to teach English in three countries across the world as a TEFL English teacher. Aside from teaching English & Creative writing, professionally I create content for businesses in the form of social media content, articles, newsletters etc and teach aquatics. My strength in teaching lie within initially building a strong report with a child, from there I can then determine their strengths and weaknesses to focus my tuition on areas they are in need. To do this my method of teaching includes gently pushing academic boundaries to expand on their current knowledge whilst keeping the lessons informative and interesting. Outside of my professional life I am a family oriented person who regularly spends time volunteering for different charities.

I love learning and helping others achieve their potential and learn too.

Iโ€™m currently studying at Warwick University for French and Linguistics after achieving a Grade 9 (A*) in both Maths and English Language as well as a Grade 7 (A) in English Literature. I have in depth knowledge on the new style curriculum especially as I tutor Maths GCSE weekly. I am very personable and aim to create a fun but hardworking atmosphere that benefits and incorporates both the student and the parents. As well as tutoring, I can help with how to deal with exam stress and exam preparation as I view wellbeing to be as important as academic success. I also have experience helping people with learning difficulties and those who just generally struggle as well as those of higher abilities.

Friendly, high spirited and passionate tutor here to help you learn and succeed

I am an a level student and I have been privately tutoring young students of all abilities from years 4-6 for 2 years now, especially helping with 11+. Over the years tutoring has taught me patience, improved my organisational skills and good time management skills. My enthusiastic, creative and fun approach to learning motivates young people in a refreshing way where you are bound to see improvement in your child's work. Most recently along with biology, maths and chemistry a levels, I am doing Primary outreach with my grammar school as an extension study where I teach a group of year 5 students English at a primary school , pushing and challenging them beyond what would be expected covering everything from creative writing to grammar. Working in the primary school has certainly given me a sense of professionalism and responsibility. As well as this it has improved my ability to assess work in more detail. I am also a GCSE Biology mentor in my school where I help year 10 and 11 students if they are finding GCSE biology difficult. As well as this I am also tutoring 3 other GCSE students at chemistry. My teaching method can adjust and vary for different people as I understand everyone learns differently. Being closer to the age group of which I tutor certainly helps as I am better able to understand issues they may be facing and socialise with them more, helping me to tailor resources for their individual needs. I would say my teaching methodology is personalised varying from game-based to inquiry-based.

Seasoned tutor and who is ready to teach!

I am currently in year 13 at Beaumont School studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Economics and an EPQ. In addition to always performing highly and being predicted an A* in each, I find great joy in passing on know-how and problem solving skills as I have usually found these to be more universal than first thought.

I have a passion for maths!

Hi there, I am an Engineering Science student at the University of Oxford. I like to ease topics in by trying to link them to physical/tangible things wherever possible to make visualisation easier for students. This can help gain a stronger grasp of a topic.

Enthusiastic tutor in any primary school subjects.

โ€˜Each child has the right to achieve his or her potential. As teachers we have the power and responsibility to make this happen.โ€™ (Moyles and Robinson, 1995) These words inspire me to want to be the best teacher I can be. An appropriate, balanced, challenging and creative curriculum is hugely important in developing childrenโ€™s skills, knowledge and understanding. My aim as a teacher is to provide children with as many learning opportunities and experiences as possible to engage, motivate and challenge them.
