I’m passionate about working with young people so they fulfil their potential!
Since September 2018, I’ve been working at Ark Swift Primary Academy as a Graduate Co-Teacher where, alongside offering general classroom support, I run my own intervention groups for maths, guided reading and grammar in Year 6. With a group of 9-10 children, I plan, prepare and teach every morning- differentiating the material do that they can reach the expected standard in their SATs. Furthermore, I have 18 months experience as an ABA Tutor - working for the U.K. Young Autism Project. During my time there, I had the opportunity to work with several children who are on the autism spectrum - ranging from as young as 4 to as old as 19. Also, from September 2019 I’ll be studying to gain my QTS in A Level economics.
I’m a fun, friendly, experienced ABA tutor with a passion for English! :)
Upon graduating from Roehampton University with a first class Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Linguistics, my studies in both my Psycholinguistics and Phonology of Sign Language modules as well as my experience working as an ABA tutor, have allowed me to acquire some of the most valuable knowledge and skills required for working with those with speech, language and communication difficulties. I also have experience as an academic tutor for Primary English and Maths and have recently graduated with a Post Graduate Certificate in Primary Education. I have experience as a class teacher teaching in KS1, preparing children for GCSE English, phonics screening, SATS and 11+ exams in a mainstream setting. I am a very creative, easy going and friendly person and strive to aid each child and their families to gain the confidence in themselves to attain and achieve their full potential :). 7 years ABA tutoring experience and a Masters degree in Child Psychotherapy
With over 7 years experience working as an ABA tutor, I have worked with children ages from 2 years old to 16 years old. I have worked on new start up programme as well as established programmes. This unique experience has given me the confidence to create programmes for struggling parents who unfortunately cannot afford to pay for consultancy fees but also cannot afford to lose and waste time for their child. In addition to ABA tutoring, I enjoy teaching psychology to my students. With over 6 years studying psychology, I have an in depth knowledge of psychological concepts.
