Second year Imperial Computing student, with previous teaching experience.
I’ve previously tutored struggling Key Stage 3 maths students, and aided in the teaching of GCSE computer science to a set of year 10s over a course of a school year. Clear, concise mathematics
I’ve spent the past few years studying in Oxford. It’s been a whirlwind. I’d like to share all I’ve learned - the maths and the other stuff. I can help you with GCSEs, A levels, key stage 3 mathematics - anything. I can help you stretch beyond the syllabus, or get to grips with the foundations. My goal is to make lessons fun, simply by being a friendly, helpful person.View Profile
Experienced tutor and undergraduate at Imperial College London
I am a third year medical student at Imperial College London, and while I am passionate about my university subject, I equally enjoyed my academic journey to get here. I have always had an enthusiasm for anything and everything taught to me - in particular maths and science - and I hope to help other students find not just an understanding for their subjects, but a genuine interest and appreciation for that knowledge alongside it. I have experience tutoring children of varying ages and abilities and believe that I can be helpful in a variety of situations individuals may find themselves in. I place emphasis on the importance of flexibility in tutoring as not all students will learn in the same way and helping students understand how they learn best will help them excel not only in that subject but throughout the rest of their academic career. As well as experience in teaching school subjects, I consider myself to be a good source of guidance for university applications. I have a good understanding of how universities select for science degrees in particular, and this can be very helpful for students who want an extra push at this stage. I am a very approachable and lighthearted person, so although I take teaching seriously I would like sessions to be as engaging and interactive as possible. My perspective on teaching is that it is never one-sided, as tutors and students should work together in a comfortable middle-ground in which both are learning and developing together. This means that I will value a students needs and opinions about sessions as much as my own in order to ensure they reach their full potential. I hope that I can be helpful and look forward to hearing from anyone interested.View Profile
Experienced Maths and Science Tutor | Oxford Scholar | City Trader
I know it’s an important decision to choose a tutor and you want to make sure you pay for the right one so here’s why you should choose me ~ I am a professionally trained online Tutor, I use best in class tech (live interactive white board, writing tablet, microphone, headset and webcam) to really focus on good quality online delivery ~ I have partnered with an online EdTech platform to schedule homework and take timed exams. This will include Exam Past papers. I run analytics for each student - these reports highlight which specific topic the students needs improvement in. I base my tutorial plan on actual data so we can work on weak topics. ~ I am friendly and easy-going, I create a safe space for students so they feel comfortable asking questions. I also motivate them and push them to achieve more by using interesting everyday examples to explain mathematical and physics conceptsView Profile
Hardworking Cambridge student happy to help with Psychology, French and 11+
I am hardworking student who has just completed my first year at Cambridge University, where I study Psychological Behavioural Sciences. At school I studied French, History and Psychology A Level. I have always enjoyed languages and had an aptitude for them, having studied both French and Spanish through GCSE and the first year of A Levels. I have been both a French and Spanish mentor at my school where I have helped younger students to overcome issues they couldn't talk through in class. My passion for psychology began when I was able to pick it up at A Level, I ran a Psychology Club in my school, through which I was able to teach younger students interesting topics and engage in controversial debates. My passion grew through super curricular reading and volunteering that helped me to secure my offer at the University of Cambridge. After being scared and worried sick about exams throughout my whole school career I believe I finally cracked it in Year 13 and I would love to be able to reassure students and allow them to go into their exams feeling confident, and leaving knowing that they've done their best. My lessons will be tailored solely around the needs of the pupil and what they feel their main issue/struggle is, so please just let me know! I did Cambridge IGCSE French and Spanish, and AQA A Level French where I studied Tartuffe and Un Long Dimanche de Fiançailles for my written exam. For A Level Psychology, I studied AQA, with my Year 2 options being: Cognition and Development, Schizophrenia and Forensic Psychology.View Profile
