I have tutored friends and neighbours virtually my whole life although only formally for a while in New Zealand while I was waiting to come to UK. I have a PhD in Biochemical Engineering and my undergraduate degree was in Chemical and Process Engineering. Always open to a free chat about engineering and science as a career option if anyone has questions.

Enthusiastic tutor and undergraduate at University of Birmingham
I am a 5th year Medical Student studying at the University of Birmingham. I achieved A*AA in Biology, Chemistry and Maths at A-Level and 12 A*s at GCSE level. I have 5 years of experience in tutoring students, including 11+ exams and GCSE-level Maths and Science. I have seen students through their entire GCSE course, and have consistently helped them to achieve excellent grades. Being a student myself, I understand what is required for exam success; I incorporate exam paper practice and homework into my sessions to help students develop both knowledge and exam technique. I am able to offer regular teaching sessions throughout the year as well as intensive 1-week exam preparation courses leading right up to the exam period, which can provide the final push that students need to reach top grades. I have previously worked at a tuition centre and offer group classes as well private one-to-one sessions. I also provide Medicine university application and personal statement writing advice, as well as Medical School interview preparation.
Hi! I'm a 3rd year medical student at Cambridge, and can show you how I got here
Hi there! I'm Anthony and I'm a 3rd year medical student at the University of Cambridge. I am happy to help you in maths, further maths, biology, chemistry and physics up to A level, with first hand experience in the linear qualifications. I also have a few strategies in place to help you get those top marks, having gained straight A*s across all my subjects at both GCSE and A level. Whether it is getting to grips with the core concepts or improving exam technique to get those tricky marks, I can help you achieve the grade that you want to. If you are looking to stretch yourself further, I participated in all the maths and science olympiad competitions in secondary school, and represented the UK in the International Chemistry Olympiad, so am happy to go through olympiad material to help you stand out from the crowd. In addition, I know just how stressful it can be when applying to medical school, and can help you with preparation for the UKCAT/BMAT entrance exams and with writing that all important personal statement. I also have a wealth of resources to help you with interview practice, be it for panel, MMI or Oxbridge-style interviews. In addition to Cambridge, I received offers from UCL, Imperial and Queen Mary's, so if you are thinking of those universities especially, feel free to ask me about my own personal experience. If you have any more questions, please get in touch :)
Undergraduate at the University of Cambridge, with lots of tutoring experience
I am currently studying Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge and have been tutoring locally for a couple of years- covering a range of GCSE's and A levels. I like to find ways to explain difficult concepts and then show students that they are able to apply them, increasing their passion for learning and boosting their confidence, which are the two most important parts of education for me.
Seasoned tutor and undergraduate at University of Birmingham
Hi, I am a current Chemical Engineering student at the University of Birmingham. Having achieved exceptional grades in my GCSE’s and A-Levels, I am pleased to be able to facilitate students who are now going through the same processes I did. As a student, I understand the struggles and stress from GCSE and A-Level exams and I am happy to help. I specialise in Chemistry, Maths and Biology.
I’m an undergraduate chemistry student at The University of Liverpool who specialises in maths and chemistry! I enjoy walking, climbing, and volunteer at university and with the Scouts.
Qualified and experienced teacher
Introduction I am a fully qualified Science teacher with a specialism in Biology. I am passionate about helping others achieve their academic goals in a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment. Education I studied Biomaterials Science at the University of Birmingham. Later, I pursued a Master's in Infection and Immunity at the University of Leicester for which I was awarded the best student prize. I completed my PGCE from the University of Warwick and undertook a master's level project on misconceptions in science. Teaching experience Collectively, I have 17 years of experience tutoring face to face and online. Additionally, I have worked in schools and colleges across the West Midlands for the past 9 years. I have taught GCSE Science, BTEC Applied Science, A-level Biology and A-level Chemistry, covering the OCR, AQA and Edexcel specifications. In my position as the Head of Department I coordinated and delivered study skills sessions which included note taking and memory techniques to boost the performance of my students. I have been monitored by OCR for the practical endorsement for which I received positive feedback. Over the years I have helped students achieve or exceed their target grade. Three of the students I tutored this academic year have progressed from an E grade and below to an A grade in their school mocks. Tutoring approach I have a holistic approach to teaching ensuring students make rapid progress. My aim is to give my students the skills and tools to become confident, independent and reflective learners. Many students fail to perform in examinations to their best ability , despite putting in many hours of revise. My lessons focus on providing effective exam techniques and the key points required by the examination board. Each lesson is tailored entirely to the individual learners` requirements.
