Enthusiastic tutor in chemistry and maths
I have graduated from high school in the UK and am currently studying Medicine at UCL. I am very interested in science subjects, and have taken them in A levels, receiving 3A*s. I would therefore like to share my ways of studying as well as exam techniques. I am a curious and enthusiastic individual who is particularly interested in Chemistry. I have been involved in Chemical Analytical Challenges and Symposiums. At school, I have also given biology presentations, including topics of epilepsy and effects of chocolate on the brain. I enjoy learning about the human system as it allows me to understand fully on how our body responds to different situations. I also had the experience of teaching Mathematics, alongside sciences. I have achieved A* within a year in A level maths, with UMS 581/600. I relish the logical thinking in Maths and have tutored several students, giving them advice on how to approach a question when prompted. From past experiences, I adopted a wide range of teaching styles, ranging from interactive whiteboards during online tutoring, to providing quizzes and exercises during face-to-face tutoring. I believe that this interaction will enhance visual learning and enable students to retain knowledge and be more interested in the subject. I am a native Chinese speaker and have taken Chinese GCSE and AS level. In my free time, I am an avid violinist and was the leader of Symphony Orchestra. I have taken music as one of my GCSEs before and I particularly enjoyed the classical pieces studied during the course. I hope to connect with more people and influence students with my passion for the subjects through teaching. Please contact me if interested. Thank you very much.
King's College London Graduate, Qualified Secondary Science Teacher

Sayeed is a Physical Natural Sciences undergraduate at the University of Cambridge. Having studied Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Materials Sciences in his first years at university, he is currently specialised in Chemistry with a focus on physical and theoretical fields. Sayeed has completed two summer research internships in nano-chemistry and techno-economic modelling. Brought up in the UK, Sayeed achieved an excellent set of grades for A-Levels (4xA*) and GCSEs (1x9, 2x8, 7xA*, 1xA). His success can be attributed to proper understanding of course content and effective revision techniques. This informs Sayeed’s teaching style of guiding his students through new material by engaging their curiosity and intuition. In this way, students take a personal approach to their learning, rather than relying on rote memorisation. Outside of his studies, Sayeed has taken an active role in several student societies including Access, Welfare, and Charity Officer at the Cambridge University Islamic Society; and Treasurer at the Cambridge University Bangla Society. Sayeed has also taken intermediate-level French and Arabic courses at university and abroad, respectively. His hobbies include hiking and travelling.
Graduate from UCL. Really enjoy tutoring and helping others
Hi :) I'm Alisha. Ive been told that I am an individual who has a positive can do attitude and easy going. You can let me know if this is true ? I've been tutoring for almost 9 years now and absolutely enjoy it. Especially knowing that I'm helping students to build a strong foundation to set them up for the future. I have tutored students from KS1 upto A-levels, teaching Maths and Sciences (and English to younger students). Not only have I tutored students, I have had the amazing opportunity (and a challenging yet unique experience) to also home school a number of students in the past. Misc: I am a socially active person who enjoys trying out new activities or visiting new places. Next on the to do list is sky diving (ahhhh). I also try to be actively involved in raising funds for different charities. For example, I have helped organise charity events to raise funds for educational resources and schools in rural developing countries and orphans in need.

A graduate of King’s College London Maths School, I am passionate about the Mathematical Sciences and love sharing this enthusiasm with those that I teach. I have over 3 years of experience tutoring students from Year 1 to Year 13, and enjoy helping pupils achieve and improve as much as possible. Currently I am on a gap year; in September I will be continuing my studies by pursuing a degree at the University of Birmingham. Each lesson I teach is tailored to the individual student; I like to take the time to get to know them and what methods will help them learn and maximise their potential. Please message me if you have any questions!
First Year Med Student at Notts | many years experience as a Tutor :)
First Year Med Student. Here to help! Tutoring is one of my passions and I truly believe that with the right mentor a student's academic ability can improve immensely. Being a student myself, I think I have been able to grasp on what can make certain subjects daunting for kids, and I hope I can use my experiences to be beneficial to everyone. My style of tutoring will also include teaching the students about time management, key revision skills and exam techniques along with the core content of the subject. As I believe that to achieve your maximum potential in academics it is 60% knowledge, 25% exam/revision techniques and 15% time management. I am a first year medical student currently studying at the University of Nottingham and thus my schedule is quite tight. BUT I will always try to be in everyone's best interest. :)
Second year dental student, happy to help :)
Hi, my name is Abdur and I’m currently studying Dentistry at the University of Bristol. I’d describe myself as a kind and friendly person who loves to teach using evidence-based techniques. As a dental student, a lot of my time is spent learning but also teaching others as it reinforces the knowledge I’ve gained from lectures, seminars and clinical sessions. I’d describing my style of teaching as interactive and personal as everyone has their own way of grasping topics. What sets my teaching apart from others is that it integrates core topics and links the common themes which cements the information to a deeper level of understanding. This is something I’ve used in my own studies which has helped me to ranked in the top 10 for the end of Year 1 exams and over achieve over 70% in end of Year 2 exams. I have been tutoring and mentoring students since 2016. What I’ve learnt from this experience is that building confidence in students is one of the key components to boosting grades. I highlight strengths and weaknesses so we can reinforce the areas which require more attention. This is through evidence-based teaching called active recall. The purpose of this method is to stimulate the mind through questioning rather than passive learning. Passive learning is something many students are guilty of which often leads to average grades. Through active learning it highlights areas that requires more attention. Spaced repetition will help to prevent forgetting important information and enables long term storage of knowledge which is crucial for exams!
Struggling with maths or science? I can help!
Hello! I'm a friendly, approachable 1st class pharmacy graduate from UCL and currently work as a medical writer in the pharmaceutical industry, whilst tutoring in my spare time. I've achieved A*-A grades at GCSE and AS/A levels in Maths, biology chemistry, and physics. I'd love to share my knowledge and passion for these subjects and tutoring is an ideal way for me to pursue this. I have taught Maths and English to students aged 5-14 years and have tutored GCSE Maths and Science to students in after school clubs as well as privately. In addition to this, I have also assisted students with the science and maths components of entrance exam preparation. Whilst I was at university, I took part in the Teach First leadership development programme, which involved lectures on the current education system and various teaching techniques. I also worked as a teaching assistant during this programme, where I successfully planned and taught a science lesson to year 5 class.

Currently doing my third degree in economics
I am an experienced tutor with over 10 years of experience. I’ve been tutoring children from KS1 up to A-Levels as well as University students, for north of 10 years; I tutor English, Maths and Science. I, myself, have a degree in Medical Genetics, a PGCE in secondary science from the University of Leeds and am currently doing my third degree in Economics. I’ve had the pleasure of working with students who weren’t doing so well when we met, but who achieved amazing grades with their hard work and my dedication to them and I’ve had some great results from my students in their SAT exams, GCSEs and A-Levels. I have an open door policy, figuratively speaking - I’m available to my students or their parents, on my mobile, whenever they need or have any queries. I expect homework to be completed weekly and full concentration in class. I’m flexible, firm but fair with my students and always keep parents in the loop with regards to weekly progress. Just a note: I’ve set my hourly wage here at £33 but prices really do depend on the age range I am teaching. So please do ask about pricing for your particular child!
Skilled tutor and undergraduate at the University of Kent
Hello! I'm currently a third year Architecture student at the University of Kent. I've loved tutoring and helping people achieve their goals since I was in high school. I'm determined and hardworking and would love to share my organisation and motivation tips with my tutee's.
4+ years experience tutoring Let’s work together to create the best you!
Hi! I’m Maryam and I study Pharmacology & Physiology at the University of Westminster. I tutor mainly GCSE Science and Maths and younger levels, as well as the 11+ entrance exams. I wanted to become a tutor because I didn’t receive the help I needed as a student; the tutors I did have were either not passionate or just passing time for the pay and they didn’t add any value onto my own work. This made me passionate in being a honest and hardworking tutor for new students, including my own siblings. I have tutored a number of students to GCSE and they have all excelled. A tutor-student arrangement should be hand in hand with both sides putting equal effort in and I strive to do that with all my students. My teaching style is adaptable to the students needs. I don’t believe in enforcing my own learning methods but working with the student to find out what works best for them depending on what kind of learner they are. I’m a self-certified foodie and love both baking and cooking and the science behind the art. I love reading, particularly Greek-inspired or mystery novels, and as I’ve gotten older I’ve started to develop an appreciation for gardening and growing - although unfortunately I’m still quite bad at keeping plants alive. I absolutely love space, and photography, and hope to combine those soon by treating myself to a big telescope to explore the sky myself.

Friendly and experienced tutor - willing to help and teach Science, Interview Skills, Psychology….
I am an undergraduate medicine offer holder and student, I have been tutoring since 2018. I am also experienced with teaching students with learning difficulties - adjusting to what works best for them. Having done GCSE and A-Levels - I can relate to my students and will be able to help them from my own personal experience. I am super friendly and would like to help every step of the way - I believe it is really important to build a rapport with my tutee. I am adaptable, and will always ensure that my tutee is comfortable with the teaching method, helping them excel and get reach their true potential. I cannot emphasise the importance of organisation. I like to teach in a methodical and chronological way in order to properly structure revision and drill down into concepts with detail. I am happy to revisit topics for further clarification and will always provide useful and reflective homework. For skills such as interviews and public speaking - it is really important for me to understand the person and then help them to enhance the amazing qualities they already have!
