I have graduated from high school in the UK and am currently studying Medicine at UCL. I am very interested in science subjects, and have taken them in A levels, receiving 3A*s. I would therefore like to share my ways of studying as well as exam techniques. I am a curious and enthusiastic individual who is particularly interested in Chemistry. I have been involved in Chemical Analytical Challenges and Symposiums. At school, I have also given biology presentations, including topics of epilepsy and effects of chocolate on the brain. I enjoy learning about the human system as it allows me to understand fully on how our body responds to different situations. I also had the experience of teaching Mathematics, alongside sciences. I have achieved A* within a year in A level maths, with UMS 581/600. I relish the logical thinking in Maths and have tutored several students, giving them advice on how to approach a question when prompted. From past experiences, I adopted a wide range of teaching styles, ranging from interactive whiteboards during online tutoring, to providing quizzes and exercises during face-to-face tutoring. I believe that this interaction will enhance visual learning and enable students to retain knowledge and be more interested in the subject. I am a native Chinese speaker and have taken Chinese GCSE and AS level. In my free time, I am an avid violinist and was the leader of Symphony Orchestra. I have taken music as one of my GCSEs before and I particularly enjoyed the classical pieces studied during the course. I hope to connect with more people and influence students with my passion for the subjects through teaching. Please contact me if interested. Thank you very much.

Hello! I’m Jiaqi, a master student studying Arts Management at Manchester. I received my BA degree in English Literature and American Studies at the University of Manchester and I also hold a BA degree in English Language and Literature at Zhejiang University, a top-3 University in China. I’m a native Mandarin speaker and proficient in English. I'm very enthusiastic about teaching Mandarin and sharing Chinese culture. I have rich experience in tutoring both in China and the UK, and I believe my academic background and former work experience have fully equipped me with relevant skills. My course English Literature and American Studies has developed not only my proficient English language skills but also good understanding and critical thinking skills, which have enabled me to fully comprehend different people in various situations, and quickly generate appropriate response and resolutions. I have been a journalist and senior editor for the News Department at Zhejiang University in China for 2 years, reporting news and interviewing people, updating university news on the University official website and the WeChat official account platform. As a trans-interpreter intern at the Global Times News Press for 6 months, I highly valued audiences’ feedback and improved my translation to a better-presented version to maximumly improve information delivery and audiences’ reading experience. In January 2017, I successfully joined BBC Over To You Programme at BBC Radio Manchester through competitive interviews. Having received three professional training sessions delivered by BBC senior journalists, I started to prepare my programme “Chinese in Manchester”, regularly meeting senior BBC staff to discuss it. Working in a reporting team, I went to Chinatown to interview Chinese people from all walks of life about their experience in Manchester and successfully finished my report. Overall, I'm confident that I will be a great teacher!

I am from Singapore, currently studying Doctorate of Business Administration in London. I am able to teach Mandarin and Business studies. I am a native speaker of Chinese Mandarin. I use two-way communication to find out and correct mistakes. I will always build confidence for students in all levels. Students could have enough chance to practice and learn new vocabulary by role play and playing games. I could also share Chinese kinds of culture, literature, habit, styles, history, philosophy and stories so students will not only learn the language but also broaden their horizons.  As for business, I am able to help international business, business strategic management, marketing management, human resources management etc up to MBA level 7.  I helped middle school and senior high school students, including Chinese students, pass the school educational Mandarin literature tests and exams. I won the National Student Mandarin Composition Writing Award when I was in Senior high school. I used to deal international businesses with many Chinese clients as well as translating business documents in English and Chinese Mandarin. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon! Best wishes!
