Hello all! I am a Malaysian native Mandarin speaker with good command of English. I have been living in the UK for the past 5 years. I am very passionate about the Chinese language since young. I enjoy teaching, and I am always excited to make Chinese language fun and interesting for everyone! Apart from learning Chinese in school, I have been participating in various Chinese public speaking and storytelling competitions since primary school. I was also actively involved in International and National Chinese Debating Competition in high school and was awarded Champion and the best Chinese debater. I am a law graduate from King’s College London and recently completed my Bar Professional Training Course. Nevertheless, I have various work experiences, including working as a Chinese tutor, translator, and tour guide. Hello everyone, My name is Yuqi (pronounced “Yu Chee”). I am a fully qualified Chinese teacher, having obtained a Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language from SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London) I have been teaching Mandarin for the past four years and teach both in schools as well as privately. I am a friendly and outgoing person, love teaching and speak with a perfect standard Mandarin accent. I use a selection of excellent teaching materials, but am happy to use your own textbooks when required. I teach beginner to advanced levels and take on both children and adults. I have taught students from various English universities (Cambridge, SOAS, LSE), prepared others for their GCSEs as well as the international Chinese proficiency test HSK (levels 1 to 6) and taught professionals planning their trips to China. Enthusiastic tutor in chemistry and maths
I have graduated from high school in the UK and am currently studying Medicine at UCL. I am very interested in science subjects, and have taken them in A levels, receiving 3A*s. I would therefore like to share my ways of studying as well as exam techniques. I am a curious and enthusiastic individual who is particularly interested in Chemistry. I have been involved in Chemical Analytical Challenges and Symposiums. At school, I have also given biology presentations, including topics of epilepsy and effects of chocolate on the brain. I enjoy learning about the human system as it allows me to understand fully on how our body responds to different situations. I also had the experience of teaching Mathematics, alongside sciences. I have achieved A* within a year in A level maths, with UMS 581/600. I relish the logical thinking in Maths and have tutored several students, giving them advice on how to approach a question when prompted.
