Passionate tutor with 3 years experience
Hello 你好! My name is Kiva. I was born and raised in Shanghai but now, I’m doing my Master's in Cultural Industries and Entrepreneurship in England. I'm an indie musician and work as a singer in London currently. I tailor optimal curricula to help students of all abilities and levels. Whether you need to practice speaking, prepare for HSK, learn about Chinese culture or you are a complete beginner, I would be happy to help you learn new things:) We can discuss a wide range of topics(current events, trending topics, a celebrity speech, your life experience...)to get your out of the box and expand your vocabulary. I can prepare for real-life scenarios by using pictures, videos and body languages to spark the interest of the student. In the class, normally, I share the screen with the student while I’m typing, I take the notes and write down the points that you need to improve and learn. Combining both of these methods, students can prepare for travelling, relocation, exams, and everyday life. I love getting to meet intriguing people all over the world. Feel free to drop me any question. Hope I can see you soon:)View Profile

Savvy tutor and who is ready to teach!
Passionate and experienced multilingual tutor!
I have 4 years’ experience as a private tutor and now a full-time tutor, as I have been for just over 6 months. I have experience teaching a range of students in terms of age (from 5 to over 60) and level. I have taught English as a Foreign Language, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German and Latin as well as English and Maths (up to 13+) to a total of more than 50 students (including some groups). Many of these students have been learning for exams, such as GCSEs and A-Levels, while some have been casual learners. While flexibility is essential and I try to tailor my approach to each student, I base my tutoring on transmitting my passion and expertise in learning to the student. As a speaker of many languages, I have considerable experience of the language learning process and know-how of language learning techniques. I use this to predict common pitfalls and difficulties for students, and to explain these by breaking them down in simple terms. In this way, the student’s confidence increases and they feel able to reach their targets. While I have high standards, I also believe students will naturally want to learn more if they have fun. I often use cultural materials such as books, films or songs in my lessons so that the student sees the advantages of language learning and so starts to learn proactively and thus improve faster.View Profile

Seasoned tutor studying Law at Warwick University. Online tutoring available!
Hello! My name is Alyssa Miller and I am a first year Law student at the University of Warwick. I am half Chinese and half English; consequently, I am fluent in both English and Chinese. I have had a lot of experience in tutoring, from being a classroom helper for an entire GCSE Mandarin class, to being a personal tutor in English Literature for a struggling year 11 boy, to teaching basic Mandarin to a class full of Burmese refugee children. All these experiences have helped enhance my communication coupled with my teaching skills, it has allowed me to realise what to prioritise when approaching a new student - their strengths and weaknesses, their level of confidence towards the subject and most importantly, what learning methods best suit them. I will employ these techniques in order to ensure your child receives the best possible tutoring, and their grades coupled with their passion for the subject improve as soon as possible!View Profile
